The fastest thing that fits
At 1,792 GB/s the RTX 5090 has the highest memory bandwidth in this catalogue, and for any model that fits inside its 32GB it will out-generate every unified-memory machine here, usually by a wide margin.
32GB is the whole story
The ceiling is hard. A 32B model at Q4 fits comfortably. A 70B model does not, and splitting it across the card and system memory costs far more speed than the card's advantage buys back. If 70B is your target, this is the wrong page.
Usable AI memory decides what a machine can load at all, and memory bandwidth decides how fast it answers once loaded. Those two numbers matter more than the processor name on the box. A machine with a large unified pool and modest bandwidth will run a very large model slowly; a machine with a fast narrow pool will run a small model quickly and refuse a large one outright.
Where it is clearly right
Image and video generation are compute-bound rather than memory-bound, and here the 5090 is simply the best consumer option available. For Stable Diffusion, FLUX and video models, nothing on this site competes.
